The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed for our stay. the location was great, with beautiful views of the mountains and easy access to a walking trail. We also appreciated the warm and cozy atmosphere, especially with the fireplace and the view of the rainy day.
We were assigned a room on the upper floor instead of the one we had originally booked, which was inconvenient with small children. It seemed like our requested room had been given to someone else who arrived earlier.

We recently had a fabulous stay at a country retreat that exceeded all our expectations. the owner, George, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Despite arriving late due to terrible traffic, George managed to arrange delicious aged sirloin steaks for our barbecue, making sure we had everything we needed. the cottage we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities for a relaxing stay. the views of the mountains were breathtaking and waking up to the stunning scenery was truly special. We also appreciated that the retreat is dog-friendly, as we got to meet a kind guest's dog. We highly recommend this retreat and will definitely be returning. Cons: Nothing, all was perfect! 👌.

I absolutely loved the beautiful decorations throughout the hotel. The attention to detail in the design and layout really made me feel like I was in a cozy home away from home. The general areas were spacious and comfortable, perfect for seniors like myself to relax and enjoy. Additionally, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was for senior people, with well-maintained paths and ramps that made getting around much easier.
If I had to ask for one improvement, it would be for the children working there to provide more assistance and guidance to senior guests. It would be wonderful to have some extra help with carrying luggage or navigating the property, just to make the vacation even more enjoyable for us senior travelers.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this delightful retreat. The beautiful decoration in the living area and patio created a warm and inviting ambiance. It was a pleasure to relax and read one of the books provided while enjoying the view of the mountains. The hotel's location next to a working farm was a highlight for my daughter, who absolutely adored the cows and chickens. The accessibility of the hotel was also excellent, making it easy for me as a senior woman to navigate and move around comfortably.
The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people is to have quieter wooden floors above. Although the neighbors were considerate and didn't stay up too late, the sound of them moving about could be a bit disturbing at times.

We had the most delightful stay at Arumvale. The rustic cottage was charming and had everything we needed. We were greeted by a friendly chicken and even received fresh eggs from the wonderful staff. We loved being able to pick our own salad greens and tomatoes from the lush veg garden. The views from the cottage were absolutely beautiful, perfect for bird watching. It was a true country gem.

The location of this retreat is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. the apartments are beautifully decorated and offer a tranquil escape from the city. the warm welcome from the host ensures a delightful stay. the facilities provided, such as the prepared braai and fireplace, add a touch of convenience and coziness to the experience.
Although the apartments are well-maintained, there were a few minor issues with the grouting and tiles in the kitchen area that could use some attention.
